Army National Guard Staff Sgt. Michael J. Peacock has been mobilized and activated for a future deployment to an undisclosed overseas location in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Peacock is a squad leader normally assigned to the 169th Military Police Company in Brewer. He is the son of Warren F. Peacock of Saco and Jane Winters of Yarmouth. His wife, Amanda, is the daughter of Cheryl Ward of Harpswell.

Army National Guard Spec. Amanda E. Wade, daughter of Tim and Teresa E. Wade of Woolwich. has been mobilized and activated for a future deployment to an undisclosed overseas location in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Wade is a military police member normally assigned to the 169th Military Police Company in Brewer. In 2002, she graduated from Morse High School in Bath.

Army National Guard Pfc. Derek C. Less, son of Elena M. Carter and stepson of Mark G. Carter of Richmond, has been mobilized and activated for a future deployment to an undisclosed overseas location in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Less is a military police member normally assigned in Brewer. He graduated from Richmond High School in 2005.

Army Pfc. Brian R. Bruggers, a 2001 graduate of Morse High School in Bath, has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, physical fitness, and received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, basic first aid, foot marches and field training exercises. Bruggers is the nephew of Tom Augat of Brunswick.
