Air Force Airman Kristianna K. Harper — daughter of Cathy Harper of Woolwich, has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. During the six weeks of training, the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization, and military customs and courtesies. She performed drill and ceremony marches, and received training in rifle marksmanship and field exercises. She also received special training in human relations. Harper is a 2007 graduate of Morse High School in Bath.

Army National Guard Pvt. Joe T. Boyington — son of Shari Boyington of and grandson of Karlene Saucier, both of Brunswick — has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson in Columbia, S.C. During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values. He received instruction and practice in areas including basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, drill and ceremony, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, basic first aid, foot marches and field training exercises. Boyington is a student at Brunswick High School.

Army Reserve Pvt. Walter T. Miller — son of Norman and Allyson Miller of Richmond. has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Knox, Ky. During the nine-week training period, the he received instruction in drill and ceremony, weapons, rifle marksmanship, bayonet skills and chemical warfare. He also learned about tactical exercises, armed and unarmed combat, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness and first aid, as well as Army history, traditions and core values. Miller is a student at Richmond High School.
