WEB NEWS: Brunswick delays tree-lighting
BRUNSWICK — The Brunswick Downtown Association has postponed the annual holiday tree lighting celebration and visit from Santa until Sunday afternoon. Today’s forecast for heavy rain and high winds forced the delay.
The tree-lighting will begin at 5:15 p.m. Sunday near the gazebo on the Brunswick Mall. Santa and Frosty are scheduled to attend. Hot beverages and cookies will be available.
A local commentary from Brunswick Downtown Association representative Amber Waterman on page A14 of this edition went to print before the newspaper received word of the postponement.
