Woman struck by truck in Brunswick

BY BETH BROGAN / The Times Record

BRUNSWICK — A woman crossing Bath Road suffered a significant head wound when she was struck by a truck this morning.

Brunswick police responded at approximately 8:10 a.m. to the intersection of Bath Road and Maine Street, where 35-year-old Sehee Lee had been struck by a stake bed truck, Brunswick Police Sgt. Russ Wrede said.

Lee sustained “a significant head wound” and was transported by Brunswick rescue workers to Maine Medical Center.

Lee's address was not available at press time.

She was struck by a 1990 International commercial truck driven by Robert Hutchins of Brunswick and registered to Source Inc., of Brunswick, Brunswick Police Officer Terry Goan said.

Lee was crossing Bath Road in a crosswalk and when Hutchins attempted to turn onto Maine Street, "he just didn't see her," Goan said. Speed was not a factor, he said.

Police continue to investigate the crash. For more information, see www.timesrecord.com later today or Tuesday’s edition of The Times Record.
