Patten program profiles arts

The Times Record

Patten Free Library and the Union of Maine Visual Artists will offer an array of art programs during National Library Week, April 16-19.

Each afternoon, a different artist will be featured with the screening of a DVD from the Maine Masters collection, followed by a discussion.

The free film-and-discussion series allows attendees to converse with Maine Masters filmmakers, art historians and curators, underwritten by the Friends of Patten Free Library.

The series kicks off at 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 16 with Robert Hamilton, Lois Dodd and Alan Magee. For more information, call 443-5141, ext. 25; or 359-2320.
