Composting bins for sale in Brunswick
BRUNSWICK — Composting bins and how-to guides soon will available to town residents at a discounted price through the Brunswick Recycing Committee.
They are made of recycled plastic, have a capacity of about 27 cubic feet and are large enough to serve a family of five, according to the committee. The bins normally sell for about $100, but locals can reserve them for $46 by calling the Public Works Department at 725-6654.
The bins are provided as part of a statewide Earth Day 2013 effort to increase recycling and reduce Brunswick’s solid waste stream. They were to arrive by the end of April, and can be picked up at the town garage on Industry Road between 8 a.m. and 3:30- p.m.
