Library offers college workshop
BATH — Patten Free Library will host the first of four weekly sessions for local high school students and their families about the college search and application process.
All four sessions are free, open to the public, and will be held 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesdays in the library's secondfloor community room. No registration is required. The sessions will be geared to meet the information needs of high school sophomores and juniors and their families.
The May 8 session, "Resources for the College Search" will provide an overview of information sources about colleges. Leslie Trundy, a guidance counselor at Morse High School, will share her favorite places to start the college search, and discuss how to find the “bestfit” schools.
Subsequent sessions are titled “The Common Application and the College Essay,” “Testing Options and Strategies” and “Shameless (But Effective) Self-Promotion.”
