Man gets 2 years for 2 pharmacy robberies

AUGUSTA (AP) — An Augusta man has been sentenced to spend two years in prison after pleading guilty to robbing two city pharmacies in 2012.

The Kennebec Journal reports that Michael Pierce pleaded guilty to the state charges on Wednesday in Kennebec County Superior Court, a day after pleading guilty to federal drug charges. His state and federal sentences will run at the same time.

Prosecutors say Pierce, 33, was involved in robberies at two separate CVS pharmacies in Augusta in May 2012 and June 2012.
