PORTLAND — U.S. Cellular recently named Michael Begin as wireless solutions architect for New England, according to a news release.

Begin will serve as a technical and solutions design resource to U.S. Cellular business customers and sales teams in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont. He will be responsible for interacting with business customers and providing information technology solutions that meet their specific needs.

“I am excited to have Mike join the business solutions team, and I’m confident that his leadership skills will guide our team to help our customers throughout New England with their wireless business needs,” said Bill Gilbert, director of sales for U.S. Cellular’s business channel in New England. “He is a proven leader that will lead our business account executives in giving our customers the unique experience of being treated like a neighbor and not a number.”

Begin joined U.S. Cellular in December 2014, bringing more than 20 years of experience in business, telecommunications, information technology, engineering and technical sales. He has served businesses throughout Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont. Most recently, Begin was an enterprise sales engineer for Fairpoint Communications.

Begin received an associate of science degree in computer information systems and a bachelor of science degree in business administration from the University of Maine at Augusta. He is currently working on a master of business administration at Husson University in Bangor. Begin lives in Minot with his family.
