Brunswick rolls, 6-0

Jacob Doring tallied two goals as Brunswick rolled to a 6-0 high school hockey win over Maranacook/Winthrop on Saturday at Sidney J. Watson Arena.

The Dragons’ second straight win gives Brunswick a 2-3-1 record with Cape Elizabeth slated to visit tonight at 7:15 p.m. The Black Bears fell to 0-9.

Michael Eno, Jack St. Pierre and Michael Marro added a goal and an assist each in the win, while Ben Israel picked up a goal and Max Burdis an assist.

Will Hayes had 31 saves in net for Maranacook/ Winthrop.



Mt. Ararat/Lisbon/Morse (3-4) held a first period 1-0 lead over Greely on Saturday, but Rangers forward Andy Moore scored a hat trick to down the Eagles, 4-3 at Falmouth Family Ice Center.

The Eagles were led by goaltender Cade Charron, who was solid despite getting the loss, making 44 saves on 48 shots.

Tyler LaCascio, Noah Austin and Ryley Austin each scored for Mt. Ararat/Lisbon/Morse, with LaCascio also picking up two assists.

Ben Kennedy scored the other Greely goal, which also got a pair of assists from Jack Seffian.

Rangers netminder Karsten Bourgoine made 21 saves to earn the victory.

The Eagles are slated to host rival Brunswick at Watson Arena on Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Girls hockey

YARMOUTH — Emilie McGillicuddy, Bridget Roberts and Courtney Sullivan had two goals each to power Greely to an 11-3 win over Yarmouth/Freeport/ Gray-New Gloucester on Saturday at Travis Roy Arena.

The Rangers improved to 8-1, while the Clippers dropped to 5-7.

Katie Clemmer had two goals in the loss.

Yarmouth/ Freeport/ Gray-New Gloucester hosts Edward Little/Leavitt/ Poland on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
