Roger A. Giroux

TOPSHAM — Roger A. Giroux age 78 of Lewiston Road died Wednesday February 15th at Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick, exactly 60 years to the day he met his wife the former Colleen E. Frank who predeceased him on October 4, 2013.

He was born on April 27, 1938 the son of Lucien and Edna Paradis Giroux. Roger attended Brunswick schools and was a 1956 graduate of Brunswick High School.

Roger lived in the house he built at the age of 21 until the time of his death. A home he meticulously maintained inside and outside.

For 33 years Roger worked as a papermaker at the Pejepscot Paper Mill and then worked in the drafting department at Bath Iron Works until retiring in 2000.

He enjoyed woodworking, maintaining his yard and enjoyed spending quality time with his grandchildren.

Surviving are two daughters Dianne Giroux and her husband Marc Boissonneault of Durham and Donna Giroux and Bryan Hardacker of Kennebunk. Two sons Michael Giroux and Joni Sansouci and David Giroux and his wife Mary McDaniel Giroux all of Topsham. Two grandsons Christopher and Kevin Giroux both of Topsham. A sister Nancy Pagurko and her husband Bernard of Raymond. Two brothers Francis Giroux of Enfield and Ray Giroux and his husband David Petri of Portland.

Visiting hours will be held Sunday, February 19th from 2-4PM at Stetson’s Funeral Home 12 Federal St. Brunswick. A funeral service will be held Monday, February 20th at 2 PM at the funeral home. Spring interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Brunswick.
