Art show and raffle at Twice-Told Tales

BRUNSWICK — As part of the Aug. 11 Second Friday ArtWalk, Twice-Told Tales, the used bookstore in support of Curtis Memorial Library, is sponsoring a one-day Residency by Brunswick artist Maria Castellano-Usery. She will set up her easel in the bookstore in the morning and paint a new, colorful acrylic 8-by-8-inch panel over the course of the day.

Raffle tickets to win the painting are $5, three for $10, and will be sold all day, with the drawing at 6:30 pm. The winner need not be present. Fifty percent of raffle ticket sales will be donated to the Curtis Friends, who operate the bookstore in support of the library.

Other paintings and framed prints by the artist, together with tote bags, will be on view at Twice-Told. Ten percent of all these sales will also be donated to the Friends.

Twice-Told Tales is located at 11 Pleasant St. in Brunswick. Normal business hours are Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
