Alexa C. Lamoureux

Alexa Christine Lamoureux, age 28, of Norfolk, VA, died Tuesday, September 19, 2017, at Maine Medical Center in Portland, ME, of a stroke caused by a drug overdose. Alexa, beautiful, beloved daughter and sister, was born in Portland to Christopher and Susan (Frost) Lamoureux June 25, 1989.

She attended Wiscasset schools, graduated from Maranacook High School and attended college in Lowell and Salem MA. Alexa met the love of her life, Alex Farrell, and moved with Alex to Norfolk, VA.

Alexa’s struggle with addiction appeared to be under control for the past several months until this recent relapse. Alexa’s many passions included her dogs — Sabine and Hudson, a lifelong adoration for horses, fashion, learning to cook and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her parents; her brothers, Jeremy of Portland and Jacob of Brunswick; her grandparents; great grandfather; aunts, uncles and her three first cousins.

Despite the challenges and many tests of unconditional love, her family remains certain that Alexa is one of the world’s sweetest daughters. She could bring smiles and happiness to all those she touched. Her death is a reminder to us that life can be fleeting and we need to approach each day with positivity. Alexa will live on by helping to save the lives of others as she is donating her organs through the New England Donor Services.

A celebration of her life will be held at the Stetson Funeral Home, 12 Federal St., Brunswick, on Saturday, September 23 with visitation from 3-5 p.m. followed by funeral services at 5 p.m.

The family requests donations be made to the New England Donor Services, 60 First Ave., Waltham, MA 02451-1106 in memory of Alexa.
