Judith C. Krok

BRUNSWICK — Judith Cain Krok passed away on Oct. 9, 2017, at the Sunnybrook Senior Living Community in Brunswick, Maine.

Judy was born in Holyoke, Massachusetts, to Robert and Winifred Cain and had a younger brother, Robert. She graduated from Mt. Holyoke College and was married to Stanley A. Krok Jr., also of Holyoke.

A longtime resident of Riverside, Connecticut, Judy volunteered for several organizations and was assistant director of Personnel of the Board of Education for the Greenwich School System for many years.

Her move to Brunswick prompted new interests in volunteering for the Senior Center of Brunswick, participating in Tai Chi classes, and exploring her talent as an artist by displaying and selling her works locally.

She enjoyed sailing trips to Martha’s Vineyard with her family, reading, doing crossword puzzles (in ink pen!), sewing (the best Halloween costumes), and in later years traveling to other countries with her sister-in-law, Margaret Cain.

Judy thought of others first, remembering birthdays, anniversaries, and other occasions, as well as staying in contact with old friends and classmates. She had a lovely, quiet sense of humor and saw the best in people. Her kindness, patience and creativity were special gifts to all who knew her.

She is survived by her two daughters and their families: Elizabeth and Humphrey Johnson and their two children, and Sarah and Eric Howe and their son.

There are no funeral services at this time.

Arrangements are by Stetson’s Funeral Home, 12 Federal St., Brunswick, where memorial condolences may be expressed at stetsonsfuneralhome.com.
