Joy of Art winners to be celebrated

The winners of this year’s Joy of Art competition will be honored Saturday.

Topsham Public Library will host an artists’ talk with the winners, as well as present the People’s Choice Award. The event is free and open to the public.

This year’s winners are:

• Oil/Acrylic: winner, Ann Slocum for “Untitled #2;” honorable mention, Kevin Mizner for “Joan”

• Pastel: winner, Amy Puleo for “Boothbay Trail”

• Watercolor: winner, Robert Kahler for “Moonlight, Ice Out, Androscoggin”

• Mixed/Other Media: winner, Natasha Kempers-Cullen for “Red Doors;” honorable mention, Barbara Snapp for “Market Street, Kinsdale”

• 3-Dimensional: winner, Howard Solomon for “Sweetie;” honorable mention, Howard Solomon for “Studley”

Also at the event, Friends of the Topsham Public Library will award the Library Lovers’ Lottery prize, Blackcapped Chickadee, a scratchboard and acrylic piece by Consuelo G. Bailey.
