Woman faces drug charges after Topsham arrest

The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency says a Massachusetts woman has been arrested in Topsham for allegedly selling Fentanyl and Crack Cocaine.

Arrested is Jacqueline Moreno, 39, of Weymouth, Massachusetts, charged with Aggravated Trafficking in Schedule W Drugs (Fentanyl and Crack Cocaine), according to the Maine Department of Public Safety.

As part of an ongoing investigation by the MDEA Mid-Coast Task Force, agents identified several persons from Massachusetts who regularly transport, fentanyl and crack into Maine that were being distributed in Brunswick and Sagadahoc County.

According to the Maine Department of Public Safety, at Thursday night around 9 p.m., Moreno was arrested without incident in the parking lot of the Topsham Fair Mall when she allegedly delivered 100 grams of fentanyl and 70 grams of crack cocaine to an undercover agent after traveling from Massachusetts. The street value of the seized drugs is $24,000.

 Moreno was transported to the Two Bridges Regional Jail where bail was set at $10,000 cash.

Assisting drug agents were the Sagadahoc Sheriff’s Office and the Brunswick, Bath and Topsham police departments. More arrests in this case are anticipated.
