Philip V. Booker Sr.

Philip Vinton Booker Sr. died on February 9, 2018, at Freeport Nursing and Rehab Center in Freeport, Maine. He was born on September 2, 1941.

Philip was predeceased by his beloved wife Donna and his daughter Irene.

Philip attended Bath schools and served his country in the National Guard for six years. He was a lifelong resident of Woolwich and was a member of the American Legion Post 21.

Philip was an expert excavator and operated heavy equipment for a number of construction companies in the area. He enjoyed farming and raised cattle, sheep, and other livestock on his farm in Woolwich.

Philip is survived by his two sons, Philip Booker Jr. of Bath and William Booker of Damariscotta, and his daughter, Deanna Theodore of Brunswick. Philip’s sister Gail resides in Woolwich and was predeceased by his sister Carolyn Talbot.

Philip has five grandchildren,

Tina Page, James Fournier, Roseanne Booker, and Kailie Booker. Three great-grand children, Mikayla Bates, Jacinda Zarri Bates, and Naomi Bates. Two great-great-grandchildren, Adeline Page Fowler and Charlie Layne Fowler.

A celebration of his life will be held on April 7th from 4-8 p.m. at the American Legion Post 21 on Congress Avenue in Bath. There will be a pot luck dinner and country music.
